George D. Seager Dies at Son's Home

George D. Seager, 80, died at the home of his son, Robert W. Seager, Mulberry route 1, at noon Saturday, June 10, following an illness with a complication of ailments. Mr. Seager was born June 4, 1870, in Mulberry, the son of Robert W. and Margaret Patton Seager. He was married to Iona Wallace, October 6, 1897. Her death occurred in November 1919.

Until 1938, when he retired, Mr. Seager was employed in the First National Bank in Chicago. From 1919 to 1922 he served as a deputy sheriff in Clinton County. He was a member of the Lutheran church and the Mulberry Masonic Lodge No. 618, F. & A. M.

Surviving are two sons, Robert W. and G. Don Seager, of Mulberry; two brothers, Bert, of Frankfort, and William Seager of Greentown, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Manson Unger, of Morristown, Ind., and three grandchildren. Funeral rites were conducted Monday at 2 p. m. at the Kleinsmith Funeral Home, with Rev. W. J. Butt officiating. Interment was in Bunnell cemetery.
