Mrs. Eliza Jane Bean Cooper, 102, died Saturday, {August 3, 1974} at 11 p.m. in Max Mixson Memorial Hospital in Kirbyville after a brief illness.

Her family, the late Jesse and Mrs. Bean, moved to Magnolia Springs from Georgia in 1878, and she had spent her entire life in this area.

She was a charter member of the Kirbyville Church of Christ and was a devoted member. Her good works were known by all who knew her, and she was active until the last few weeks of her life.

Services will be in Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home at 10 a.m. today with A. A. Berryman, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Kirbyville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ferris Bean, Oscar Bean, Ornan Bean, Emil Bean, C. R. Guy, A. V. Wright, C. N. Yeary and W. D. Tucker.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ferelle Rischard of Kirbyville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Weldon and Julia Cooper of Charlottesville, Va., and Roy and Beulah Lea of Kirbyville; four grandchildren. one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
