A retired millwright, he died December 24, 2017. He was born October 13, 1943 in Robinson, Ill. Richard loved going hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He was always willing to help anybody that needed it. He enjoyed going to the Benndale Superstore being with his friends and having his morning coffee. Everyone truly enjoyed his visits to the Store and he will never be forgotten. A coffee cup has been placed in his memory.
He is survived by his wife Jo Lynne (Kneifel) York; daughters Christina (Ike) Prieto, Linnea Poff and Brenna Jarnecke; son Shawn (Emma) Poff; four grandchildren; sister and her husband; brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raleigh York and Christine (Littlejohn) York, sister Garnet, brother Larry and baby brother.
