It is with much love and sadness we announce Donna Sue Shepherd, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78 on December 30, 2017.
She was born in Mulberry to the late Harlan and Lillian Mae Gaines on May 23, 1939.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Olen Shepherd, and two grandsons, Kregg Allen Moran, and Luke Harlan Shepherd.

After attending Mulberry High School, Donna and her husband moved to Kansas where they raised their three children. Throughout her life, she showed many skills by owning and operating several businesses, and through flipping homes. Since returning to Mulberry in 2009, Donna was very active with many improvement projects and acts of service to her community. She had a compassionate and fun loving heart, always looking out for others, and most recently, she served as a member of the Mulberry City Council. Her leadership and desire to make Mulberry a better place inspired many. Donna attended Vine Prairie Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Todd Shepherd and wife Charlene of Cheney, KS, Kim Tharp and husband Charles of Springfield, MO, and Laura Golden and husband Jarod of Mayetta, KS; grandchildren, Jacki and Joseph Bergman, Kami and Brian Bohnstedt, Sage and Brieann Shepherd, Kourtney and Josh Pickel, Morgan and Brian Dewey, Karter Moran, and Preston Golden; and a great-grandchild, Mason Bohnstedt; and four sisters, Wilma Peevy, Wanda Bruce, Harlene Jackson, and Diana Morse, all of Mulberry.
