Rabbi Dr. Jacob Sodden was the esteemed Rabbi of The Van Cortlandt Jewish Center for 60 years. Also, he was a University Professor in several pretigious Universities within the City of New York. He was a dear friend of mine and is survived by his Rebbetzin (Rabbi's Wife) Jean Sodden, sons, Rabbi Mayer and Aaron Sodden, Aaron's wife, Sheila, and Rabbi Jacob Sodden's daughter, Helene Ackerman, her husband, Dr. Ackerman, their children and grandchildren.
