Born 20 Oct 1950, at Beckley, he was the son of the late Clyde and Mary Epperly Okes. He was a school bus driver for Raleigh County and a lifetime farmer. He lived on the family farm with his late wife of almost 47 years, Connie Okes.
He was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren for 28 years.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include a son and daughter in law; two daughters, and sons in laws, his three grandbabies, his best friend and cousin.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Friday, 5 Jan 2018. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity, WV.
