Doran Spencer was born in Lincoln Nebraska the son of Rosencrans and Laura Belle Doran Trodgon. He had one sister Martha. His grandparents were Jeffery W. and Martha E. Hendricks Doran who were married in Coles Co. 8 July 1857, and Solomon and Sarah Jane Hunter Trodgon who were married in Edgar Co. 8 Oct 1853. His father Rosencrans died when he was only six years old. and in the 1900 census he, his mother, and sister are living with his grandparents Doran in Coles Co. Il.
On April 1942 on the WWI Draft registration Doran is described as having brown eyes and hair and being slender.
at this time he is living in Chicago as a commercial artist.
On 18 Oct 1893 on the WWII Draft Registration Doran is living in Dauphin Pa.
