Mr. Ground was a native and life-long resident of DeSoto, where he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are two sons, Edgar Ray Ground and Henry Randall Ground of DeSoto; two brothers, Wick Ground of Cedar Hill and Dan Ground of Duncanville; a sister, Mrs. Ola Pelt of Duncanville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Byrum Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
