Lois Nolan Brown, 77, of 210 North Bellview Road, Aragon passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Mrs. Brown was born September 6, 1927 in Clayburn County, Ala., daughter of the late Dewey and Margie Buchanan Nolan. She was a retired Integrated Products employee, a member of the Rockmart Eastern Star Chapter #321 and a member of Euharlee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Howell Brown and a brother, Mr. T.N. Nolan. Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Jo Ann & Alton Deems of Taylorsville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Howell, Jr. and Sherry Brown of Rockmart, Jimmy and Jean Brown of Rockmart, and Gordon Lee Rogers Brown of Aragon; a brother, Billy Nolan of Aragon; a sister, Mrs. Betty Hittle of Aragon; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Brown were held on Thursday, March 31 at 2 p.m. from the Euharlee Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Cowart and Rev. Johnny Sisson officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of Aragon Cemetery. The following served as pallbearers: Justin Elrod, Shane Elrod, Nick Addison, James Waits, David Mull and Dale Taylor. Great Grandchildren, Jason Boalch, Kane Hammonds, Brandon Hammonds, and Tyler Brown served as honorary pallbearers. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
