Obituary of JA Epps, The Greenville News (Greenville, SC) 15 Nov 1916, p. 6: J. A. Epps, Prominent Farmer, Died Tuesday. Mr. J. A. Epps died last night at seven o'clock at the city hospital. Mr. Epps was a prominent farmer of Dunham bridge section of Greenville county. He was thirty five years of age. He is survived by his father and mother Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Epps, two sons and two daughters. Four brothers: Messrs. J. B., B. W. [W. B.], J. W. and T. L. Epps; Five sisters: Mrs. W. M. Miller, Mrs. J. F. Pace, Mrs. J. A. Kennemore, Miss W. D. Epps and Miss Hattie Epps. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from Piedmont cemetery, Piedmont, S. C. Rev. J. S. Cobb will officiate.
