The P.E.I. PARO Baptismal Registry noted Hugh Philip Bridges was born June 30 1910 in a residence at Inverness and was baptized Oct 21 1910 by Rev L. J. Leard in the United Church at Bideford. At the 1911 census Hugh and six siblings were living with their parents at their farm in Inverness. The enumerated residents were Benjamin and Charlotte with Harold (b:5-16-1900), George (b:6-7-1903), Archie (b:12-29-1904), Walter (b:10-21-1908), Hugh (b:6-30-1910), Gertrude (b:5-5-1901) and Hattie (b:11-11-1906). At some date after 1911 the family relocated to McNeills Mills. At the 1921 census Hugh still farming with his parents. Five more children had been added to the family - Benjamin (b:2-16-1912), William (b:3-26-1913), Henry (b:9-12-1915), Clara (b:5-19-1918) and Laura (b:5-29-1921).~The PARO Marriage Registry noted Hugh was still residing at McNeills Mills on March 28 1934 when he married Mildred Jean Craig, a resident of Hamilton, P.E.I.
