Case of Sun-Stroke

Cabel J. Baker {note: that is how it is shown in the paper} living about one-half mile west of Hanover Landing died last evening about sun-down from the effects of extreme heat. The deceased was 67 years of age and had been in feeble health for some time. He worked all day yesterday in the harvest field for Mr. Farenstein, a neighbor and after the day's work was over left for his home, but did not get very far down the road until he either fell or laid down by the side of the road to rest when he was discovered shortly after by Mr. William Turner in an unconscious condition. Mr. Turner immediately went to Farenstien's for assistance but when they returned a verdict in accordance with the facts given above.

The deceased moved from Switzerland county to Hanover township last Fall and was a hard working industrious man for one of his age. He was a member of John W. Dunn Post F.A.R. of Hanover, and was buried there to by that order.
