Mrs. Inez Whitaker Ayers, age 90 passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North, she has lived at Barfield Health care in Claysville the past 7 years. She was born October 7, 1927 to the late Katherine Segler Whitaker and the late Ernest J. Whitaker. Inez was a lifetime resident of Grant, where she was a longtime member of the Baptist Church at Grant. She was preceded in her death by her husband, John Ayers Jr. her Mother, Katherine Segler Whitaker and her father, Ernest J. Whitaker, her sisters Imogene McBride and Ernestine Smith. Inez is survived by two daughters, Wanda Bright her husband, John know as "Sonny" and Linda Anderson her husband, Ralph; grandchildren, Doug Campbell (Melinda Wilson), Beverly Anderson and Teri Moody Campbell, great grandchildren Emily Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Kaitlyn Tate and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 6:00 to 8:00 pm Funeral Service Thursday, December 28, 2017 2:00 pm Burial Free Home Cemetery, Officiating
