She is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Thomas Leach ( Jane ), of Los Angeles, CA.. and her parents Phillip Leach and Lillian Florence Martinson Leach.
Jeanne was born March 2, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Minneapolis Washburn High School in 1942, where she met the love of her life, Bud Carroll.
She studied for two years at the University of Minnesota, and was a proud member of the Upsilon Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She left the University to work for Skelly Oil Co. in Minneapolis, and in 1946 she married Bud Carroll, after his USAAC service in WWII.
Blessed with 3 children, they lived a long, wonderful life of family, travel and activities. Jeanne was an avid contract bridge player, and made life long friends through her passion for the game. An 18 hole golfer and member of Minneapolis Golf Club, she might not have hit the ball very far, but she hit it pretty darn straight. Her favorite passion in life was her love of music and dance. She participated in regular dance and fitness classes, making for great friendships over the years, and owned more music CD’s than could be counted. Jeanne will be remembered for her beautiful smile and eyes, her sweet and kind nature, classy elegance, sharp sense of humor, and her sincere love of all people. She was a friend to anyone she met, and will be greatly missed by so many.
The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to Jones-Harrison and Interim Hospice for their kind and loving support. Memorial Services to be held on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Jones-Harrison Residence Chapel in Minneapolis, MN. Private interment will follow at Fort Snelling Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Jones-Harrison Residence, or to a Hospice of your choice.
