Merle Saltkill, Aurora, MO, daughter of James and Zola (Seaton) Brawner, was born on November 25, 1936 in Reeds Spring, MO and departed this life on January 27, 2015 in the Aurora Nursing Center, Aurora, MO, at the age of 78.
Merle was a lifelong resident of the area and was a machinist at the shoe factory. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Merle was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zola Brawner; husband, James Dean Saltkill and sister, Margie Patrick.
Survivors include: her son, Danny Saltkill of Van Buren, AR; daughter, Glenda Stafford of Springfield, MO; brother, James Brawner of Galena, MO; two sisters, Louise McCullough of Aurora, MO and Rozella Rutledge of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 in the Galena Cemetery, Galena, MO, with Nilene McKnight officiating. Services are under the direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
A visitation was held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
