Funeral services for Mrs. Fern Dell Tarpley was held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Ricky Gresham and Rev. Jessie Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Pollock, La. under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Jena.
Mrs. Tarpley,82, of Georgetown, Louisiana was born on December 7, 1935 in Aimoch, Louisiana and passed from this life on December 18, 2017 in Pollock, La.
Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Aaron Hill (Carolyn) of Belah and Monroe Enterkin (Shanon) of Jena; daughters, Diane Hutzler(Jerry) of Summerville,
Trudy Day (Ted) of Olla, Cammie Finlay (Gene) of Trout, Mary Meyers (Tommy) of Jena and Tammy Hunt (Roy) of Georgetown; Fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Buford and Lorena Ainsworth Westbrooks; daughter, Sandra Anglin; brother, Joseph Buford Westbrooks; sister, Ada Mae Hudgens; grandson, David Day and granddaughter, Alesia Hunt.
Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Westbrooks, Leroy Westbrooks, Eddie Westbrooks, P.J. Westbrooks, Owen Durand, Jr. and Casey Durand. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be J.F. Westbrooks.
