Lois was born on January 31, 1917 and was called home on December 23, 2017 in Farwell, Texas. Born in Hale, Missouri, she moved to Roswell with her parents when she was 4 years old, attended Roswell Public schools and graduated from Roswell High School in 1935.

Lois worked with her husband, Woodrow Jack Rodden for many years in the family photography business.

She was also a 70 year member of Roswell Chapter Number 10 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Jack Rodden; her parents, Herbert R. and Blanche Avery; her son, Jack Rodden; her brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Rosemary Avery; her granddaughter, Valorie Snyder Citty; and two great-grandchildren, Mitchell Citty and Jennifer Fischer.

Lois is survived by her two daughters, Nancy McKinney and her husband, Richard of Charlotte, North Carolina and Susan Moorman and her husband, Dale of Ruidoso, New Mexico; her daughter-in-law, Mary Rodden of Roswell, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren
