Published in The Paducah Sun (McCracken Co., KY), Fri., 24 May 1996 - WICKLIFFE, Ky. - Luther Edwin Adams, 69, of Wickliffe died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Adams was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired ironworker and a member of Holiness Mission Church in Wickliffe.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Campbell Adams; a daughter, Rita Forrester of Wickliffe; two foster daughters, Leah Jones and Lisa Turner, both of Metropolis, Ill.; four sisters, Ella Stone of Wickliffe, Gladys Dowdy of Wickliffe, Mary Louise Adams of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lula Allen of Barlow; a brother, Tommy Adams of Mounds, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-gandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were Johnie and Maphas Gibson Adams.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe with the Rev. Leo Clark and Elliott Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Wickliffe Cemetery.
