Jack (John L.) Beechly , Jr., age 108, of Gatesville, TX went to heaven on Saturday, December 24, 2017.
Jack was born on September 28, 1909 in Visalia, CA to the late John L. And Georgia Boling Beechly. His family moved back to TX when he was six years old. He married Allie Gunnels, the mother of his children, on January 29, 1933. He worked on the Pitchfork Ranch in Dickens County, TX and then for the Federal Government trapping predatory animals in the mid 1930's and 1940's. In 1947 he went to work for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Abilene, TX and retired from there in 1972.
Jack was a member of First Baptist Church Gatesville, TX. He loved to fish, garden, dance and music. He was very active until April 2017. He loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Allie Beechly; son, Jackie Eugene Beechly brothers, Cyrus Beechly, Oran Beechly and David Beechly; sisters, Emily Ware, Verna Goen, Laura Bachman, Khaki Chandler, Ruth Clary and Annie McKinney.
Survivors: Sister, Rachel Estes (Jerry) Burleson, TX; daughters, Georgia Lue Ellison (Delmon) Seagraves, TX, Earline Williams, Richmond, KY and Margaret Ann York, Gatesville, TX;
nine grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, 16 great- great- grandchildren; two great- great- great- grandchildren; and many loved nephews and nieces and their families.
