EAST PRAIRIE Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Combs, 82, a former resident of near East Prairie, were held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Mann officiating and burial was in the family lot at W.O.W. Cemetery.
Mrs. Combs died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at her Cairo, Ill., home, where she had lived the past 27 years.
The daughter of the late James J. and Virginia Conyers Fugate, she was born Dec. 24, 1872. Her husband, John J. Combs died on May 7, 1947.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. R. H. Brown, of Union Mo., Mrs. Andy Kuehner, of Anniston, and Mrs. Louis Wallace, of Cairo; four sons, John, of East Prairie, and Cecil, Carl and Frank, all of the home; four grandchildren; and seven great grandhildren.
