Kent August Lamb, D.D.S. 84 of Forsyth, Missouri died peacefully at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on December 24, 2017 as a result of trauma to the brain, caused by a fall the day before.

Dr. Lamb was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 14, 1933 to Raymond Allen Lamb and Kathryn Cecelia Pein Lamb.

Dr. Lamb was a pediatric dentist. He attended Baker University at Baldwin City, Kansas and then attended UMKC in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated and then attended the UMKC School of Dentistry and graduated in 1962. Then he studied 2 more years to attain his specialty degree in Pedodontics in 1964. He practiced for a few years in Prairie Village, Kansas and then moved to California in 1968 where he taught at UCLA for 2 years in the Dental School. Then he started his own practice and spent his career in California before retiring in 1996 to Forsyth, Missouri where he and his wife Barbara enjoyed 21 years of retirement.

He married Barbara Nell Slater in 1953 in Clarinda Iowa and enjoyed 64 years of marriage before his passing.

He belonged to several Dental organizations but the one he coveted the most was THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PEDODONTICS.

He did not have many hobbies but he enjoyed reading and watching the birds and liked to listen to music, especially Pavarotti. He was a private pilot and at one time owned his own plane. He enjoyed taking his family out for short trips.

Survivors include his wife Barbara of 64 years, his 3 children, Gretchen and husband Ron Bradish, Jeff and wife Cathy Lamb and Dr. Craig Lamb. He also leaves 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
