Emma Katherine McCardle Beall Hester, 91, passed away at her home December 23, 2017. Graveside services will be 11am Tuesday at Hopewell Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester was born January 13, 1926 to Frank McCardle and Retta Leah Hill McCardle in Wilson, Ark. At the age of 2, she moved to Copiah County, MS where she lived the rest of her life. She was a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and also attended Hopewell Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father of their children, Robert L. Beall; son, Frank E. Beall; husband, Hosie Hester; brothers, B.F. McCardle and Cecil McCardle; step son, James Hester.
Survivors include son, Robert Leland Beall, Jr. (Janet) of Kenner, LA; daughter, Margaret Beall Bailey Jenkins (Charles) of Hazlehurst; brother, Glenn McCardle (Helen) of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, John Scott Bailey, Leah Lorane Bailey, Katy Beall Schell, Roxy Beall Price, Erik Beall and Paige Hester Majors; great grandchildren, Casey Bailey White, Carson Bailey, Harrison Schell, Abbey Schell, Gavin Price and Hayden Price. A number of nieces and nephews.
