Orangeburg - Mrs. Stella Champy Betsill, 70, wife of John H. Betsill, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. Funeral services were held today at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Betsill was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of Daniel Champy and Mrs. Marion Grambling Champy, She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Orangeburg, are a son, John H. Betsill Jr. of Germany; two brothers, Arthur Champy of Summerville and Harry Champy of Cameron; three sisters, Mrs. William Sinkler of Eutawville, Mrs. Alexander Betsill of Gainsville, Fla., and Mrs. Edgar Jernigan of Charleston, and two grandchildren. © The Evening Post, Charleston, SC, 2 Apr 1976
