Rosie E. "Tinnie" Lane, 91, of Dunnellon, FL, went to be with our Lord on December 17, 2017 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, FL. Rosie was born on June 5, 1926 in Gallipolis, OH, daughter of Charles and Edna Shiflet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lane, Sr. in 2008; two sisters, Hilda Nibert and Jean Radcliffe; and brother, Robert Shiflet. Survivors include her three sons, Robert C. Lane, Jr. of Inverness, FL, Larry A. Lane (Ramona) of Crown City, OH and Gary L. Lane of Dunnellon, FL; two daughters, Rebecca J. Spurlock (Gary) of Dunnellon, FL and Rosann Strawn of Dunnellon, FL; brother, John Dray of OH; three sisters, Margaret Haskins of Gallipolis, OH, Ann Mead of Henderson, WV, and Nancy Fields of Gallipolis, OH; eight grandchildren, Dwayne Lane, Larry A. Lane, Jr., Steve Spurlock (Desiree), Lori Lane, Roselen Strawn, Cynthia Carroll (Dustin), Leeanne Phillips (Terry), and Meghan Lane (Nicole); nineteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a loving Wife, Mom, Granny, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Truly a member of the "Greatest Generation" where God, family and country are truly what matters in life. She is now God's Angel in Heaven!
Funeral services for Mrs. Lane will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Heinz Funeral Home, 2507 Highway 44 West, Inverness. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Pastor Eddie Fulford of First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon will preside. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
