Lola married James Miller. James was killed in action during World War II.

Lola D. Milton, age 97 of Lincoln (formerly Nebr. City) passed away on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 at her home.

Lola was born on November 23, 1920 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Oliver "Monk" Arthur and Beulah Edith (Jackson) Tourville.

She graduated from St. Bernard's Academy in 1938.

Lola married James Miller and to this union two children were was born: John and Sally. James was killed in WWII.

Lola later married Robert Milton on August 29, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nebraska City and to this union a daughter Bobbie was born.

She worked for some 30 years at the former Tot & Teen clothing store in Nebraska City. Lola was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and St. Benedict's Christian Mothers.

Lola is survived by her children: Sally Knoll and husband Tom of Milwaukee, WI; Bobbie Colgan of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren: Chris Miller, Tom Knoll, Jr., Pam Knoll, Katie Knoll and Tina Gunn; five great-grandchildren; siblings: Bernice Bonebrake of Nebr. City; Barbara Denniston of Red Bluff, CA; Larry "Bill" Tourville of Springfield, MO; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husbands James and Robert; her son John Miller in 2005 and his wife Anne, and nine brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Nebraska City with Fr. Mark Cyza officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Nebr. City.

A Rosary will be recited prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
