Edna W. "Grandma" Allers, 94 Oshkosh died at Hillhaven Medical & Rehab of Oshkosh on Sunday June 18, 1995.
She was born in New Ulm, MN on August 29, 1900, the daughter of Benjamin and Mathilda Marks Klinkhammer. "Grandma" married Arthur Godfrey Allers on July 29, 1919 in Garrison, ND. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1970. "Grandma" moved to Oshkosh in 1970 after her husband died.
She was an avid Minnesota Twins baseball fan. She enjoyed baking and crocheting. Edna was Catholic by faith.
Survivors include one son Leonard (Phyllis) Allers, Lincoln, IL; five daughters Evelyn Kerzmann, Garrison, ND; Irene Mathias, Oshkosh; Patricia (Darrell) Newton, Burnsville, MS; Esther (Harvey) Rice, Gore Springs, MS; Dorothy "Dottie" (Eugene) Mason, Oshkosh; one sister Stella Mahowald, Shakopee, MN; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was two sons, Duane and Vernon Allers; a grandson Russell Newton; and a great grandson Billy Mathias.
Funeral services will be held in Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, on Wednesday June 21 at 7:00PM with Fr. Dan Felton officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM to the time of services. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
