Dan was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Blue DD-744. He was a Lifetime Member of the Collinsville Soccer Association, Lifetime Member of VFW Post 5691, Operating Engineers Local 148 and retired after 36 years of dedicated service as a Planning Supervisor at AmerenUE. Dan coached and avidly supported numerous youth organizations for more than 40 years; he was Chief Shoe Polisher, cheerleader, trainer and chauffer to his children and grandchildren's activities. There was nothing more important to Dan than his family, he took so much pride in watching them grow and participate in activities that they loved, it is what truly gave him the most joy.
Dan will be greatly missed and will be remembered forever as his legacy of love, generosity, sense of family and work ethic lives on through his children and grandchildren.
