Bobby was the daughter of Jerry Pierce, Jr and Mamie Elizabeth Gartman Pierce. She had a twin sister Betty Jo who preceded her in death and five other siblings: Miles (d.2007), Joyce (d. 1971), Jeraline, Carolyn, and Katie (d. 1971). Bobby never married and did not have any children. She lived and worked for years in Anchorage, Alaska before moving to Shreveport, Louisiana to be closer to her siblings.
