Catherine “Rena” Rourke Caddell, 89, Kokomo, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017, at The Legacy at Waterford Place. She was born July 13, 1928, in Glasgow, Scotland, to James and Ellen (Beresford) MacLachlan. On March 19, 1949, she married Daniel M. Caddell, in Glasgow, Scotland, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2008.

Rena, Daniel and their two young sons immigrated to the United States in 1953. She worked at Sears as a sales clerk but her most important job in life was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very generous and fun loving person and was proud of her Scottish heritage. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her sons, Euan (Janet) Caddell and James (Deborah) Caddell; grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Hill, Erin (Chris) Turley, Jonathan (Shayla) Caddell and Heather (David) Chacon; nine great-grandchildren; brother, William (Daphne) MacLachlan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James MacLachlan.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St., Kokomo, with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in Anderson Memorial Park.
