Minnie L. Ames, wife of William Ames, of the Kaw Reservation, died January 30, 1898. Funeral services were held at the Jenkins church, Rev. Goodrich officiating. [ Wolf Creek Cemetery was located at Jenkins Church.]
There is no gravestone for this burial, it was ony reported in the newspaper. As this is the only record of a possible burial location, it is probable that she was buried at Wolf Creek Cemetery. However, her body may have been moved to Newkirk, but there is no stone marker at Newkirk cemetery, either.
