Clarence McDowell
J. Clarence McDowell, 64, of, 1013 E. Whitton, a custodian for Emerson School District No. 1, died Tuesday in Doctors Hospital.
Mr. McDowell, born in Pennsylvania, came to Phoenix several years ago from Canton, Ohio, where he had worked as a crane foreman for a roller bearing company.
He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. The family suggests memorials be made to the church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife, Mary I.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Clous, Mrs. Margaret Ann Leghart, and Dorothy McDowell, all of Canton; a sister and a brother, out of state and four grandchildren.
