Marilynn was born January 7, 1956 in Biloxi, MS and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, graduating from Gulfport East High School in 1974 where she was elected Homecoming Queen. She graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Marketing Degree in 1978.
Marilynn loved her family and the Lord. Her passion was spending time with the Lord and studying His Word in small group Bible Studies. She was blessed with many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She had the gift of encouragement and a kind heart, always making time for everyone. She loved the staff and residents at St. Catherine’s Village where she was employed in the Marketing Department. Working with the residents brought much joy to Marilynn’s heart. She loved cats and Jewel was like a child to her. She loved travel which included Israel, Italy and other places within the United States, always ready for a new adventure. She lived life to the fullest.
Marilynn is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Betty Hunter of Gulfport, MS, her sister Martha St Amant of Biloxi, MS, and her nephew, Noah St Amant of Biloxi,MS. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Stallings (Tommy) of Madison, MS and Margaret Miller (Jerry) of Brandon, MS, her brother-in-law Bernard St. Amant of Biloxi, MS, a beloved life-time friend, Haden Walker of Gulfport, MS, four nephews Joey St. Amant (Allison), LT Stallings (Renee), Hunter Stallings (Autumn), Dale Stallings (Lindsey), two nieces Jennifer Merchant (Lee) of Brandon, MS, Michelle Godsey (Todd) of Biloxi, MS, four great nephews and five great nieces.
