Jon Campbell, 67, of Odessa passed away on December 5, 2017 at his home. Jon was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Bill and Billie Campbell on August 24, 1950. He married Nancy Lain on December 31, 1969. He graduated from West Texas State University in 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was a police officer in Houston, Texas from 1975 to 1978. He returned to Odessa and was part owner of several oilfield service companies. He was a retired state employee, having worked for both the Institutional and Parole divisions of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Jon is survived by his wife, Nancy; a son, David Campbell and wife, Katherine of Plano; daughter, Amanda Holloway and husband, Brian of Odessa. Grandchildren Tyler Lambdin, Colin, and Jessica Campbell. He also is survived by his two brothers, Walter and Mike. He will be remembered for his quick wit and loyalty to friends and family.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 2:00-3:00p.m. at Sherwood Church of Christ Multi-Purpose Building. Memorials may be given to Odessa Christian School in honor of his and Nancy's devotion to the school. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
