Mark Jones married Marie PYLE 28 Feb 1861 in Williamson Co., TX (Source: Texas, Marriages, 1837-1973). After her death in 1885 he remarried to Mrs. Nannie Emery on 13 Apr 1887 (Source: Fort Worth Gazette, 29 Apr 1887).

News article in The San Saba (Texas) News and Star on 22 Jun 1888 states: Messrs Mark Jones and Francis Allison, of Taylor, Texas, are at the Dofflemyre house for a few days. They want good, fat beeves. Persons having such for sale will do well to call and see these gentlemen. Mr. ones has been here several times before and those with whom he has dealt have always been satisfied. Mr. Jones will buy feeders this fall.
