James served in the U.S. Army in WWII; had been employed by the Erie Cab Co. and had been a truck driver in Buffalo, N.Y.; attended the Senior Citizens Center in Summit Township and enjoyed reading.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Volk.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Anna King Volk and one sister, Mary Naccarato of Ft. Myers, Fla.
