Married Shawn Long on June 10th, 1988 in Olympia.
Roger was a faithful jogger with his beagle Jessie; a history buff, favored classical & big band music, a voracious reader and worked a crossword puzzle every day. He was a life- long fan of the New York Yankees, the Green Bay Packers, and Coca-Cola. He could tenderly quiet any crying baby. He felt honored and proud to serve in the law enforcement family. His biggest desire and dream was to be the best father he could possibly be to his three sons. That was his greatest success.
