Mrs. Amparano was born Oct. 10, 1935, to William and Clara Neill in Cameron, MO.
She worked at Whitaker Cable Corp. for 34 years until was closed and then at Sherwood Medical for nine until its closing.
She was Christian, and loved to read, sew, cook and play games with her grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Felix; two brothers, Ray and Clifton Neill; and two grandsons, Chad Kendall and Gene Amparano.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Amparano, and wife, Wendy of Kearney, MO; Toni Palmer and husband, Bill of St. Joseph; Adena Sharp and husband, Jesse of St. Joseph; and Tina Dye of Hamilton, MO; a sister, Gladys Davis of Wyoming; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
Interment will be at the Faucett, MO Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
