Nellie M. Beamer, age 78 of Biglerville, died peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at The Meadows in Gettysburg. She was born Friday, October 27, 1939 in Orrtanna, the daughter of the late Harold P. and Lottie M. (Baker) Irvin.

Nellie was formerly employed by C.H. Musselman in Biglerville and Garretson's Packing House in Bendersville. She worked hardest at being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of Wenksville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a life member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 Ladies Auxiliary. Nellie enjoyed playing cards and going camping upstate.

Her husband Donald E. Beamer passed away in 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia M. Herzog of Biglerville, three sons, Timothy E. Staub of Gettysburg, Donald L. Beamer of Biglerville, Eugene H. Beamer of Gettysburg, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Carolynn Carey of Aspers, Brenda Kump of New Cumberland, and two brothers, Robert Irvin of York Springs and Jacob Irvin of Gardners. She was preceded in death by her son, Emmert W. Beamer, a sister, Joann Frey and a brother, Donald Irvin.

Funeral Services will be held with Rev. Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery
