Albert L. Andermatt, 86, well known Easton resident, died Monday afternoon at St. John's Hospital. Mr. Andermatt had been in failing health six years; he had been critically ill five weeks following a fracture of the hip.
Mr. Andermatt was born at Louisville, Ky., Jan. 10, 1870. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Andermatt Sr. At an early age he came with his parents to the Millwood and Kickapoo communities where he lived until moving to Easton some 60 years ago. At Leavenworth Nov. 10, 1897, he married Miss Stella Jones. Last year, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Andermatt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Andermatt, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Freer, RR 4; four grandchildren, Sgt. Albert Freer, RR 4; Mrs. Earlene Johnston, Prairie Village, Kas.; Mrs. Roseen Lowe, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Josephine Finley, North Kansas City, Mo.; one great grandchild, Ralph Lowe Jr., houston, and two nieces, Mrs. Josephine Dabner, and Miss Pearl Andermatt, both of Kansas City, Mo.
Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery; northeast of Easton.
