Mary Jane clearly had a generous and caring nature. She cared for her elderly mother and her disabled sister.
Her generosity and affection for her hometown resulted in 13 organizations in the area receiving $49,230 each from her estate. Per her estate plan, Benefis Peace Hospice, St. Thomas Child and Family Center, American Red Cross, Montana School for the Deaf Blind Foundation, Easter Seals-Goodwill, the Salvation Army, Great Falls Children's Receiving Home, YWCA Mercy Home, Great Falls Community Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Union Bethel AME Church, Shodair Children's Hospital and Triumph Baptist Church, received equal donations."
