Barbara V. Everett, age 94, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 7:50 A.M. at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
Barbara was born on March 31, 1923 in Dahinda, Illinois, the daughter of Norris and Grace (Thurman) Butts. She married Ronald Everett on July 9, 1973 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2001.
She was survived by her children: Harold “Jim” Butts of Galesburg, Illinois, Fred (Sandy) Huber of Galesburg, Illinois, Nellie Huber of Galesburg, Illinois, Debbie Boydstun of Galesburg, Illinois; her siblings: Marilyn “Joan” (Ronald) Brush of Galesburg, Illinois; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers; three children: Dory Seabloom, Steve Huber, Bruce Hoyt; and two grandchildren: Betty Jo Carpenter, and Julie Waggoner.
Barbara enjoyed working as a cook for many years, and also enjoyed going to the River Boat.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois.
