Marvin LeRoy Johnson, 91, passed away on November 29, 2017 in Sandy.

He was born November 15, 1926 in Salt Lake City to August LeRoy Johnson and Esther Gunnerson.

Marvin married the love of his life, Evalyn Elsie Sjostrom, on April 25, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and had great faith. He loved spending time at the Midvale Senior Center and sang in the choir.

Marvin was a carpenter and brick layer and loved woodworking. He was a great storyteller and had an unsurpassed work ethic.

Survived by his children, Jillette Beverley, Greg (Linda) Johnson, Sandra (Jerry) Worthen, and Dennis Johnson; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Kofford; and brother-in-law, Brent Hollinger. Preceded in by his parents, wife, and two siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the Midvale Seventh Ward Chapel, 8350 South Jackson Street (260 West), Midvale. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), Midvale, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
