Mrs. Ruth G. Burke
Ruth G. Burke, 73, of 301 N. Jefferson died this morning, Oct. 27, at Allen County Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1904 in Fort Scott where she attended school and lived most of her life. She worked for a number of years at Campbell's Laundry.
Mrs. Burke moved to Iola to make her home about 10 years ago.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. Smith of Iola, a sister Alma Weaver of Pittsburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Noyce officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery north of Fort Scott.
