Maria (Poelma) Edwards, age 64, of Wildwood, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born August 20, 1953 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Wilhelmus J. Poelma and Grace (Watson) Poelma.
She graduated from Galena High School and attended Pittsburg State University, where she met her husband, James C. Edwards. Together, during the course of their 42 year marriage, they raised 3 children and fostered 7 babies.
Maria found great joy in flower gardening and had an exceptional talent for landscaping.
Maria is survived by her siblings, Kees Poelma and Dianne Bailie, her husband James Edwards, her three children, Kimberley Pace, Nathan Edwards, and Stephanie Custer, as well as 3 granddaughters, Chloe Pace, Morgan Edwards, and Samantha Edwards.
