Mapleton, Utah - Donna Jean Adams Syphrett Cardin, 64, of Mapleton, Utah, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main St., Spanish Fork. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Charleston. She was born Jan. 23, 1939, in Harlan, Iowa, to Luther Samuel and Nellie Elizabeth Thomas Adams. She married Julian S. Syphrett in September 1953 in St. Matthews. They were divorced. She married Jack E. Cardin in 1977 in Charleston. He preceded her in death. Donna Jean is survived by two sons and two daughters, John David Syphrett of Michigan, Vickie Syphrett Peterson of Mapleton, Utah, Julian Syphrett of Richfield, Utah, Donna Jean Syphrett Chambers of Montgomery, Ala.; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Doris East of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
