She was survived by her husband; three sons, Jesse Willard Hamby of Elkhart, Vernon Hamby of Palestine, and Charlie Hamby of Austin; seven daughters, Lottie Hamby Sloan, Lela Hamby Ashley, Mildred Hamby Starr, Ada Belle Hamby Walker and Hazel Hamby Hasty, all of Palestine, Laura Hamby Crawford of Elkhart, and Ethel Hamby McGaughey of Alto; two sisters, Lillie Camp Sloan of Dallas and Mabel Camp Smith of Waco; 27 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
