Survived by his wife of 61 years Regina "Jean". George is also survived by 6 sons and their wives,14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. George served honorably during WW II with the Army in the European Theatre. He worked at PPG Industries as an electrician and retired on March 1, 1981 after 42 years of employment. He was an avid athlete and coached/played semi-pro baseball, as well as coached little league and youth basketball. The day George received his Army draft notice he also received one to play for the Chicago Cubs. George was a longtime Holy Name member and formerly served as vice-president. Visitation MON March 26th 11AM-12 Noon at DIVINE MERCY PARISH - 1800 16th Ave. South Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Entombment and military honors Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
