Mary Rose Barrett died in peace at her home in Windsor Manor on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2010.

Mary Rose Coskey was born in Chicago, IL on August 7, 1922, to Stephen and Rose (Demarco) Coskey. She married Henry Fuhlbrugge in 1943, at St. Alphonsis Catholic Church in Chicago. She married Merton Barrett in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada in Nov. 27, 1976. Before moving to Webster City in 2009, she lived with her husband, Merton Barrett at Country Villa Estates in Riverview, Florida for 33 years. Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Fuhlbrugge and his fiancee, Ann Marie Butler, of Webster City, her sister, Julianne (Bob) Altamese of Vernon Hills, IL; granddaughters, Jenna Rose (Brad) Andresen of Algonquin, IL and Kara Fuhlbrugge of Austin, TX; step-sons Brock (Jan) Barrett and Mervin (Janice) Barrett of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Coskey; brother, Stanley Coskey; her second husband, Merton Barrett and her step-mother, Mary Cunningham.

There will be a short memorial service for her friends at Windsor Manor Assisted Living in Webster City on Thursday, December 2 at 2:00 pm in the Sun Room. Burial of her remains will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, IL at a family graveside ceremony in December.
