b. Maryland [1860 Census] or Virginia [son Henry lists VA in 1900 Census; presumed brother Thos 'Jr.' b. 1800-1810 VA ] or Shirley Twp, Huntingdon, PA.

L. Martinsburg, Berkeley, Virginia [now WV; or only served there] during the War of 1812;

'Served 2 yrs in War of 1812 in the INF' [Tyrone Daily Herald 3-27-1930 Pg 3].

m. abt 1815-1820 Mary Estep [Huntingdon County Historical Society (HCHS) says "No State or County m. records were kept before 1830; there was no notice found in The Huntingdon Gazette"].

Occupations: Carpenter, Laborer.

1820 Census: (Petersburg) West Twp, Huntingdon, PA- 1 CHILD-Male b. 1810-1820 [Is this THOS E. BRYAN (1818-1875) ID#186059426?]; also Family of Wm ESTEP (approx 7 male & 4 female kids = 11), presumably his wife's Father.

1830 Census: Same Twp- Wife b. 1800-1810 & 5 CHILDREN- Male b. 1815-1820 [Is this THOS E. BRYAN (1818-1875) ID#186059426?], Female b. 1815-1820 d. bef 1905, Female b. 1820-1825 d. bef 1905, 2 Females b. 1825-1830 [Mary Ann (Daniel B.) D(o/a)ugherty b. 1825 & Catherine b. 1830]; next door to a 60-70 yr old THOS BRYAN 'Sr.' & wife both b. 1760-1770 [possibly his parents] & a son presumed to be 'THOS BRYAN Jr.' b. 1800-1810 (VA) & wife 'Martha Estep' b. 1810-1815 (PA).

[NOTE- another Thomas Bryan in the 1830 census L. West, Huntingdon, also 20-30 yrs old with a wife and 1 male b. 1820-1825 and 2 females b. 1825-1830. Or is this Thos Bryan Jr?]- Discovery by member J. Cannon #47651944.

1850 Census: Same Twp, a niece + 5 living CHILDREN [9 Known]- Catherine (Idiot), James Jr., Anna, Martha (his NIECE), Henry Harrison [his DEATH CERT posted here].

Additional CHILD-ALEXANDER b. 7-4-1838 Huntingdon Co. PA d. 7-11-1917 Mt. Vernon, Knox, OH ID# 20894637.

L. next-door to his cousin/brother, a Collier, Wm III (Susan) Bryan's Family-[kids: Daniel S., Jacob, Edward M., Strunk, Nancy, Isaiah W].

d. Bell's Mills (borough) became Bellwood in 1880s; of Antis Twp, between Altoona (city) & Tyrone, both within Blair Co.

Presumed FATHER- THOS BRYAN Sr. b. 1760-1770. This would then make Wm Bryan Jr. (1773-1855) a presumed UNCLE, not his Father & Wm Bryan III (1804-1885) his COUSIN, not a sibling.
