Mrs. Onillee Ruth Frantz, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the venerable age of 97 years 2 months 20 days on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her home in Imlay City.
Onillee Ruth Speckmann, the daughter of the late Gustave and the late Gertrude L. (Lloyd) Speckmann, was born September 8, 1920, in Flint, Michigan. She grew up in Mount Morris, Michigan, and attended Mt. Morris High School until she was whisked away by a boy form Imlay City.
On September 5, 1936, Miss Onillee R. Speckmann was united in marriage with Mr. James W. Frantz at Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2001.
She was employed by the A & P Grocery Store in Imlay City as a cashier and bookkeeper. She also had worked at Hurd Lock in Almont, Imlay City Flower Shop, and had dipped ice cream at Tietz Family Dairy in downtown Imlay City.
Onillee was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Attica and a member of:
…the I. C. Friendship Chapter # 252 of the Order of the Eastern Star (past Worthy Matron 1967 - 1968); Chaplin of the Order of the Eastern Star;
…past - president of the Lapeer County Association of the Order of the Eastern Star;

The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. The Ladies of the Order of the Eastern Star will officiate. The family will be available for visiting from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Imlay Township Cemetery in Imlay City.
